Tarbell 1011D

The Tarbell 1011D is not a Vector Graphic product. This is my project page that documents how to interface the Tarbell 1011D to a Vector Graphic System.

Tarbell 1011D Connector Area Wiring for use with Pertec FD 514

E48 connects to E46 XRDY for Altair or E47 PRDY for IMSAI.
Jumpers for Pertec FD 514 match the Shugart SA800/801 configuration except E23 is not connected to J1-18 Head-load

Notes:

SW-1-1 Address Bit 7, Off=1
SW 1-2 Address Bit 6, Off=1
SW 1-3 Address Bit 5, Off=1
SW 1-4 Address Bit 4, Off=1
SW 1-5 Address Bit 3, Off=1
SW 1-6 Write-Protect. On=Protected
SW 1-7 82S123 Bootstrap Prom , On=enable
SW 1-8 Unused

Normal running set-up is all switches off except #7. Set SW 1-7 off for bootstrap in another ROM
.

The Tarbell bootstrap ROM conflicts with the MITS Turnkey Monitor. Another bootstrap prom is required.

Tarbell IO port=F8
